Fatima Saeed

Building Performance Engineer II

Fatima Saeed brings her expertise to A2 Efficiency as a Building Performance Engineer, where she applies her in-depth knowledge of building energy modeling and sustainable design. With a background in Building Engineering, Fatima excels in developing whole-building energy models as well as performing analysis using IES VE and Energy Pro/CBECC-Com Software, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE 90.1, LEED, and Title 24 standards.

Before joining A2 Efficiency, Fatima built a strong foundation in building performance analysis and sustainability, working across energy modeling, daylight analysis, and HVAC optimization. She supported clients in achieving net-zero energy or energy-efficient buildings by implementing a range of measures related to building envelope, internal gains, room setpoints, and HVAC systems. Her experience includes designing and implementing Python-based tools leveraging machine learning to automate energy data analysis and streamlining workflows.

Fatima has also gained industry experience as an Energy Analyst Intern at Concordia University, an EWIS Engineering Standards Intern at Bombardier Aerospace, and an Industrialization Intern at Neptronic.

Fatima is a Bay Area transplant by way of Montréal, Canada, currently ruled by two very spoiled cats. When she is not catering to their every whim, you’ll find her off on an adventure, most recently hiking (and surviving) Acatenango volcano in Guatemala. On quieter days, she is happily tangled up in yarn (crocheting), lost in a good book, or making a joyful mess with paint. She believes life’s all about balancing big adventures with cozy, creative moments. She is always looking for new ways to stay inspired.
